Alan provides a great breakdown at the differences between cheap and frugal.
I agree with most of what he says. I’ve been trying to find the line between saving money and buying good quality stuff, and shifting my mindset from “cheap” towards being frugal has really helped me find the sweet spot. I’ll buy what I need, but when I do I’ll do my best to do it right without heading into excess. I’ve seen many times how “cheap” ends up costing more in the long run, and I’d rather avoid that.
I recommend you give it a read. Then ask yourself that question: are you cheap or frugal? Do you even feel you should be?
